    Senior Manager of Human Resources for AxisPoint Health

    The Senior Human Resource Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function. This position provides consultation to management on strategic staffing plans, compensation, benefits, training and development, budget, and employee relations. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is a “working manager” position that supervises a team of three and is manages all aspects of Human Resources including: Talent Management & Development, Policy implementation, Employee Relations/Investigations, Compliance, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, and HRIS. This position must effectively interface with employees, all levels of management, and the functional Human Resources team.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Provide counsel on organizational design, talent management, succession planning, performance management, compensation, and employee relations.
    2. Develop effective working relationships, influencing and challenging the senior management team on the development and delivery of people plans in support of the achievement of assigned business area strategies and overall Human Resources strategies.
    3. Champion a performance management culture within the assigned business areas.
    4. Research, design, develop, implement and communicate Human Resources initiatives in support of business strategies.
    5. Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
    6. Influence, advise and support the cultural and people aspects of organizational change, structures, people processes and best practice initiatives.
    7. Turn Human Resources data into information and use that information to drive solutions to business problems.
    8. Execute on established programs during defined timeframes and be able to diagnose areas for improvement within client groups.
    9. Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
    10. Regular, reliable attendance and timeliness

     

    Job Requirements:

     

    • Demonstrated strong people management skills.
    • Solid understanding of HR practices and employment laws.
    • Must be comfortable using and proficient with both tactical and strategic Human Resources skills.
    • An ability to make quality
    • Comfortable making difficult decisions and managing conflict.
    • M & A experience – particularly complex integrations required
    • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including compensation, benefits, performance management, talent development, and federal/state employment laws.
    • Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
    • Strong conflict management and interpersonal skills.
    • Self-directed, motivated and accountable; must be able to manage multiple conflicting priorities and operate with a sense of urgency.
    • Outstanding execution required; must have strong attention to detail and good follow-up skills.
    • Must be a strong team player and achieve decision making through consensus.
    • Have a well-developed ability to build strong peer relationships.
    • Must be able to accomplish goals and objectives with minimum direct authority.
    • Must have excellent computer skills with Word, Excel, Windows, HRIS, PeopleSoft, and others as necessary.
    • Must use initiative when problem solving with minimal supervision; professionally handle confidential material and information; and maintain discretion and display a high degree of trust.
    • Strong professional presence is a must.
    • Relevant experience in Telehealth or healthcare organizations is preferred.

     

    Education Requirements:

     

    Bachelor’s degree in related field and 2 plus years of experience managing a human resources function.

     

    6 or more years of employee relations experience required.

     

    7-10 years of progressive Human Resources required.

     

    Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

     

    HRIS Administration experience is required.  ADP and/or Paychex preferred. Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint – Windows Environment required.
